Juventus star Paul Pogba’s agent: “He’s optimistic and he’s a hard worker”

Football agent Rafaela Pimenta has, on Wednesday, spoken out regarding the situations of two of her star clients.

First up comes the latest on Paul Pogba, who is of course unavailable for selection to Juventus at present, owing to a high-profile doping scandal.

The France international tested positive for enhanced levels of testosterone last month, with a ban spanning as long as four years therefore potentially on the cards.

To this point, Juventus have remained tight-lipped on the situation, but media speculation has long pointed towards the Bianconeri simply terminating Pogba’s contract for a breach of terms.

Speaking to the media this evening, though, the aforementioned Rafaela Pimenta revealed that the 30-year-old has not yet given up hope of a return to the pitch.

During an interview with Sky Sport, as cited by TuttomercatoWeb, Pimenta explained:

“He’s optimistic and he’s a hard worker, he’s preparing and when it’s possible he’s ready.”

From here, the Brazilian was then drawn on the future of another of her clients, Marcos Leonardo.

Frontman Leonardo is one of the most highly-regarded up-and-coming talents in his home country of Brazil, with his exploits for Santos having long caught the eye of a host of clubs across Europe.

One such outfit understood to boast a strong interest in the 20-year-old comes in the form of Roma, with Pimenta having therefore been questioned on the possibility of Leonardo ultimately making the move to the Stadio Olimpico.

And the super agent went on to confirm that though the attacker is ready for a new challenge, it is up to Roma to find an agreement with Santos:

“This is a question to ask Roma. The truth is that he is ready to leave when the right time comes. There is a price, and there was also a right balance found with Santos when he was supposed to stay but now he will make his move.”
