Juventus to push for Rasmus Højlund if Dušan Vlahović leaves

Juventus, who are ready to welcome Cristiano Guintoli as the new sporting director, will move for Atalanta striker Rasmus Højlund if Dušan Vlahović leaves the club this summer.

Fabiana della Valle and Carlo Laudisa has reported that Guintoli is expected to join Juventus on Thursday, with decisive steps about his arrival already having taken place. Guintoli has given up on some wages to make the move possible and he will sign a five-year deal at the Bianconeri.

His first few weeks at Juve will be focused on selling players and replacing them cheaply. Vlahović is someone who seems likely to leave, amidst interest from the Premier League and Bayern Munich. Guintoli is looking around for replacements and at the top of the list is Højlund. Napoli under Guintoli have already registered their interest in him but Juventus have now identified him as a key target if their Serbian striker leaves.

It does not promise to be a simple negotiation, considering that Premier League clubs are also interested in the Dane. Manchester United have been concretely linked with him for some weeks now.
