The lawyers of Roma star Stephen El Shaarawy have revealed that Italian has never bet and has never had any interest in doing so.
Yesterday, Fabrizio Corona had accused three more players of being involved in the illegal betting scandal, after he named Nicolo Fagioli, Nicolo Zaniolo, Sandro Tonali and Romaโs Nicola Zalewski. The three new players mentioned in the scandal were El Shaarawy, Federico Gatti and Lazioโs Nicolo Casale.
Casaleโs agent has already publicly stated that his client never indulged in illegal betting and the defenderโs lawyers will take legal action against the accusations.ย
El Shaarawyโs lawyers Matteo Uslenghi and Federico Venturi have now released a statement (via Sky Italia), revealing El Shaarawy has never bet and he has never had any interest in doing so either.

Nicola Zalewskiโs entourage is also considering taking legal action against the accusations, as the Prosecutorโs office has never opened investigations into his case. The same applies for El Shaarawy, Casale and Gatti, with no evidence of their involvement found.
