Lazio keen on Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson

Serie A side Lazio are keen on the possibility of landing Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson.

Ferguson has impressed during his time at Bologna and he famously scored for the Rossoblu in their Serie A clash against Lazio earlier in the campaign.

Il Messaggero today (via TMW) have reported that with the January transfer window fast approaching, Lazio feel that they are in need of transfers to bolster their squad. Maurizio Sarri has identified some key targets and one of them is Ferguson, who has impressed at the club.

Sarri has witnessed the Scotsman from up close and he has been impressed by the player’s mix of goals and physical traits, that are said to be reminiscent of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Lazio did propose Toma Basic in a potential deal, but Bologna have rejected it. The Rossoblu don’t want to deprive themselves of an important player in January, so Lazio can make a move in the summer.
