Lazio are now in the market to seek potential replacements for midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić and they have now made contact for Feyenoord’s Mats Wieffer.
Marco Conterio has reported that Lazio are slowly coming to terms with the fact that Milinković-Savić will be leaving the club in the summer as he is not signing a new deal with the club, with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2024. Luis Alberto is also likely to leave the club.
They are now looking around for replacements and Wieffer is of keen interest to them. Contacts between Lazio and Wieffer’s agent Marco de Marchi has already taken place, with the agent having recently tested the waters to potentially earn his client a move to Roma. Wieffer recently made his debut for the Netherlands national team against Gibraltar.
Another name that interests Lazio is Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson, who has attracted interest from multiple other clubs as well after his impressive performances for the Rossoblu.
