Lazio make contact for Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski

Lazio seem close to losing Sergej Milinković-Savić to Al-Hilal but are already looking to sign a replacement in Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski.

Marco Conterio has reported that the Biancocelesti have already made first contact to sign Zielinski, who is currently Maurizio Sarri’s top choice to replace the outgoing Serbian midfielder, for whom a fee has already been agreed between the two clubs.

Zielinski is set to leave Napoli this summer and Juventus tried to sign him in a potential move for former Partenopei sporting director Cristiano Guintoli, but the move never took off. The Pole’s current deal at Napoli runs out in the summer of 2024 and if the Partenopei do not want to lose him for free, they would have to sell him this summer.

The 29-year-old made 37 appearances in Serie A last season, scoring three times and he had racked up nine assists. It seems likely that Juventus are still keeping tabs on his situation.
