Lazio are said to be inching closer to a move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Maurizio Sarri had worked with Hudson-Odoi during his time at Stamford Bridge and the winger had first broken into the club’s first team under the Italian.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state today that the Biancocelesti are ‘close’ to signing Hudson-Odoi, who will arrive on an initial loan deal but Lazio will have an option to buy him permanently for €15 million to €20 million next summer, if certain conditions are met.
Sarri believes that the 22-year-old’s career can witness a resurgence under him – just like he did at Chelsea. With his arrival, Sarri would have the sort of attack he always wanted at Lazio, with the starting front three expected to be Felipe Anderson, Ciro Immobile and Mattia Zaccagni and the trio of Pedro, Valetin Castellanos and Hudson-Odoi would be the rotation options but they would fill in as regulars if there is a need.
