Lazio are set to make another attempt to renew Sergej Milinković-Savić’s contract at the club, with Arsenal said to be interested in him.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that while Milinković-Savić has stalled any of Lazio’s attempts to renew his contract, the Biancocelesti have not given up yet and they will attempt another renewal. The midfielder is keen on waiting for the summer transfer window and the same applies for his agent.
There is a fair amount of hope about a leap in the competitions the Serbian plays in next season, with Arsenal and Juventus interested in him. As of now, Lazio want a fee of €40 million to sell Milinković-Savić in the summer since his contract runs out in the summer of 2024.
The next contract attempt would see Lazio offer a deal over €4 million per season and they are also looking to insert a release clause in the deal, so that they make it potentially easier for Milinković-Savić to leave.
