Lazio working on deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes

Lazio are currently working on a deal to bring Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes to the Stadio Olimpico.

The Biancocelesti will receive about €40 million from the sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and they will use that money to strengthen their midfield.

Sky Italia state that Lazio see Paredes as a key target in midfield, despite his disappointing loan spell at Juventus. Work is being done in this regard and Lazio are currently trying to find an agreement over personal terms with the Argentine and are also speaking to PSG about the type of deal they want to execute.

Paredes’ contract runs out in the summer of 2024 but as things stand, Samuele Ricci is at the top of the Biancocelesti’s shortlist for midfield options.

It isn’t just the midfield that Lazio want to strengthen in. They are also seeking solutions in attack, with contacts made for Metz’s Georges Mikautadze, who scored 23 goals in 37 Ligue 2 games last season, and Taty Castellanos of New York City , with whom there have been new contacts. Both have a valuation of around 12 million euros and would only move on a permanent basis.
