Lazio’s Luis Alberto would like La Liga return

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto is still said to be rather keen on returning to La Liga, amidst the likelihood of him leaving the Roman club in the summer.

The likes of Valencia, Villarreal and Sevilla were linked with the midfielder last summer but the move never went through due to Claudio Lotito’s high asking price for the player. The ex-Liverpool man recently scored an exceptional goal for Maurizio Sarri’s side in their 1-0 win over Sampdoria, showing his importance to the club.

Daniele Longo has reported that Luis Alberto had found an agreement to join Cadiz in January and he was willing to give up his wage to make a loan move possible. But Lotito refused to give his approval to a loan move and the deal fell through.

Now, an exit in the summer can’t be ruled out but Lotito isn’t willing to provide discounts in the sale. That is because Liverpool, his former club, still have the right to earn 20 percent from his resale.
