Lionel Messi’s father set to meet with Inter Miami

Lionel Messi’s father Jorge is set to meet Inter Miami soon to discuss the Argentine’s future, which lies away from Paris Saint-Germain.

Gianluca di Marzio has provided some updates about the situation of Messi, who is set to depart the Parisiens in the summer after he made unauthorised trips to Saudi Arabia. It is stated that Messi’s trip to Saudi wasn’t sudden as he had postponed it twice before.

Usually, PSG leave the players free after the match on Monday. Messi, therefore, planned the trip, thinking there would be no problems. However, as Messi was leaving, Galtier surprisingly decided to cancel the rest day, and it was impossible for the player to take part in the training session, postponing the trip a third time.

Jorge then tried to establish a dialogue with the PSG owners, but it didn’t prove effective. Thus, Messi left for Saudi Arabia and upon his return, the suspension with the Parisian club was imposed.

When it comes to his future, a return to Barcelona seems complicated because of their financial situation. Al Hilal are the favourites for his signature as they are offering him €400 million per season and another €100 million to €200 million in sponsorships.

But in the next few hours, Jorge will have a meeting with Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas. But a move to Miami is complicated, with Al Hilal’s towering above everyone else’s. But Inter Miami, it is stated, are not giving up and will keep trying.
