There is a possibility that Manchester United could end up signing Inter goalkeeper André Onana for less than €55 million.
While Gianluca di Marzio has confirmed that a deal is close to being done and it will be closed by Monday, Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the move is now progressing quickly. Friday is expected to be the day when United seal the deal for the goalkeeper, who happens to be Erik ten Hag’s specific request.
A positive conference call took place between the two clubs earlier today and during that, Inter’s asking price dropped from €60 million and it could drop to less than €55 million as well and that amount includes bonuses. It could be done for a fee of €48 million plus bonuses of about €3 million.
This reduction in demand came after Inter realised that they could no longer keep the Cameroon international at the club, with personal terms between the player and United already said to be agreed.
