Manchester United are now the favourites to sign Borussia Monchengladbachโs Marcus Thuram ahead of Inter and Bayern Munich.
La Repubblica have reported that Erik ten Hag wants Thuram at Old Trafford and he is a big fan of the playerโs profile. United are looking for a striker who can replace Cristiano Ronaldo, with Inter speaking to Thuramโs agents for weeks now in an attempt to find an agreement on a free transfer next summer.
Inter did put forward a four-year deal offer for the Frenchman and were willing to offer โฌ5 million per season. But now, United are trying to convince Thuram about a January move, with Gladbach looking for โฌ15 million and that is a fee which Inter canโt afford this month.
Thuram wants to play in the Premier League and that could be a key factor in the situation, with United now hoping to bring the Frenchman to Old Trafford.ย
