Manchester United to soon press for Rasmus Højlund signature

Premier League side Manchester United are now keen to press for the signature of Rasmus Højlund, as they are aware of Paris Saint-Germain’s interest.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that United’s key target for the striker role is Højlund and an agreement in principle already exists with the player and with the Dane’s entourage. That task was fairly simple because of how much the striker earns at La Dea right now.

Atalanta do not want to let go of Højlund easily and United’s first offer of €50 million came through intermediaries. La Dea do not want to make discounts on their €70 million asking price.

But United are now keen on making sure that they do not allow other teams to enter the competition, with Paris Saint-Germain interested. Erik ten Hag knows that Inter are also keen but they do not have the money to sign him. If PSG sell Kylian Mbappe this summer, they will likely move for Højlund because their key target (Victor Osimhen) will be too expensive.

Luis Campos is a huge admirer of the 20-year-old and PSG could be willing to include Hugo Ekitike in the move. But United’s attempts will become more pressing in the next few days, with the club attempting to sell the likes of Fred, Dean Henderson and Anthony Elanga. All of that is an attempt to make sure that they have enough finances to tempt La Dea.
