Manchester United to target Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in the summer

Victor Osimhen has enjoyed his most fruitful season to date so far, scoring 13 goals in just 15 Serie A games.

Due to his impressive form, Osimhen has earned himself an abundance of admirers, none more so than Erik Ten Hag and his resurgent Manchester United side.

This sentiment was mirrored by Gianluca Di Marzio who spoke with SoccerNews.NL about the chances of a possible switch to Old Trafford for the Nigerian forward.

Di Marzio said, “I think that Victor Osimhen could be a possible target in the summer also because Man United wanted him last summer.”

He adds that a Scudetto triumph for Napoli could signal the end of Osimhen’s story at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

“if Napoli wins the Serie A I think they will let him go.

“I think that Man United has to pay at least €120 million for him but the Premier League clubs are also willing to do that, so it could definitely happen.”

Di Marzio however does specify that interest in Osimhen is high and therefore it will be a race for his signature.

“Manchester United wants him but other clubs wants him as well so he will very likely be the topic of the conversation for a lot of clubs next summer”

Osimhen was linked with a move to United last summer in a swap deal involving Cristiano Ronaldo but a move never materialised due to the lack of time left in the window.
