Ligue 1 side Marseille make contact with Roma for the transfer of Rick Karsdorp this summer.
According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW, out-of-favour Rick Karsdorp has fallen among the ranks at Roma and is practically out of Jose Mourinho’s plans for the season. Marseille are keen to secure the services of the right full-back and have made contacts in the last few hours with the Giallorossi to understand their demands.
The Dutchman’s role at Roma diminished last season following an incident after the Sassuolo match which made the Portuguese manager question his commitment towards the club. The relationship between the player and management broke and soured since then.
More concrete messages are said to be exchanged soon between the two clubs and a solution is expected to be reached as soon as possible.
With numerous injuries and below-par performances, the 28-year-old is no longer wanted by Roma.
