Max Allegri confirms Weston McKennie exit amidst Leeds United links

Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie has been linked with a move to Leeds United and Max Allegri has confirmed that the American is set to leave the club and an agreement has been reached.

There has been talk that Leeds are about to reach an agreement for the midfielder soon after they had made an initial bid for the player and had agreed personal terms for McKennie, who has previously been linked with a move to Bournemouth, Fulham and Aston Villa as well.

Ahead of Juve’s league game against Monza, Allegri spoke about McKennie, who had trained with the squad. But Allegri stated that an agreement has been reached for his exit and he will not feature.

“McKennie absolutely won’t be in the match. There is already an agreement with a club that wants him. There will be no reinforcements on the market, Cuadrado is on the right, De Sciglio is here, Soule is here and we will change the set-up if necessary.”

McKennie had joined Juve from Schalke and while he has been used in a variety of positions, he has not fired too much for them. This season, he has also played at wing-back and was linked with both Monaco and Borussia Dortmund as well.
