Max Allegri makes contact with Adrien Rabiot over renewal amidst Man Utd interest

Max Allegri has already spoken to Adrien Rabiot about the Frenchman’s renewal at the club, with Manchester United having made fresh contact for the midfielder.

La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Giovanni Albanese has reported about United’s interest in Rabiot, stating that the Red Devils are back in the hunt for the Frenchman and since his contract runs out in a matter of days, Juventus are hoping that the player’s will to stay helps them keep him in Turin. Last summer, they would have had a say on the matter because he had a year left on his deal, but that isn’t the case anymore.

Juventus are said to be trying their best to make sure that Rabiot stays. In recent days, Allegri has made telephonic contact with the player and some of the club’s players have also spoken to Rabiot. New sporting director Giovanni Manna has also spoken to the ex-Paris Saint-Germain man, trying to convince him about staying. The club sees Rabiot’s renewal as a priority this summer.

While the club remain confident about his extension, no definitive answer has arrived so far. Rabiot seems to be taking his time, assessing his options and looking at the Premier League as a destination. United have made fresh contact for the Frenchman – as echoed by The Athletic, with the club ready to re-negotiate his salary and a commission for his mother-agent. A failure to agree on those terms had made sure that the move fell through last summer but they will now try again.
