Milan and Newcastle United reach agreement for Sandro Tonali

Newcastle United have now reached an agreement with Milan to sign midfielder Sandro Tonali, who will join the Magpies on a free transfer.

MilanNews have now confirmed that the meeting involving the two club’s executives and the player’s agent Giuseppe Riso has now ended in the centre of Milan. The parties have found an agreement regarding the transfer fee for the player, who has already agreed personal terms.

Milan will earn atleast €80 million from Tonali’s sale, with the player to earn €10 million per season including all the bonuses, while earning a base wage of €8 million per season.

Giuseppe Riso, in the next few hours, will leave for Romania where the Newcastle medical staff will also arrive to have Tonali undergo medical tests at the Under 21 national team retreat. Newcastle’s head of recruitment Steve Nickson will also go to Romania, a clear sign of how the negotiations are now close to conclusion.
