Milan interested in Porto’s Mehdi Taremi

Serie A giants Milan are interested in the possibility of signing Porto striker Mehdi Taremi, as they continue to work for a move involving Alvaro Morata.

There was negative news regarding Morata yesterday, as the Rossoneri learned that the striker does not qualify for Growth Decree regulations despite the Spaniard being willing to take a wage-cut to join Milan. Luca Bianchin reports that Morata is pushing to go to Milan, whereas Atletico Madrid are pushing him to go to Saudi Arabia, who can fulfill their financial demands.

Taremi’s profile has emerged as an alternative in the meantime. And Porto have made it clear that they want  €20 million to part ways with the 30-year-old Iranian but Milan will probably look to negotiate for a lower price as his contract runs out next summer.

A key point in the move would be that Taremi would occupy a non-EU slot in the side and Milan only have one of those left. Moving for him would close the door for the arrival of Samuel Chukwueze.
