Milan make contact for Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze

Milan have a keen interest in the possibility of signing Villarreal’s star winger Samuel Chukwueze.

The Rossoneri have recently sacked Paolo Maldini, with Geoffrey Moncada now said to be handling the club’s transfers, as new targets continue to emerge for the club.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that one such new target is Chukwueze, who has previously been linked with a host of major clubs because of his performances for the Yellow Submarines. Milan’s interest in the 24-year-old is said to be quite strong and they have already made first contact for the winger. Villarreal’s demand for the player is said to be fairly high but Milan are still trying to move for him.

The Nigerian’s current deal at Villarreal runs out in the summer, which suggests his price may not be extremely high. In the La Liga this season, he scored six goals for the side, contributing to five goals in the Conference League.
