Milan preparing shock move for Romelu Lukaku

Milan are expected to soon make a shock move for Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku as they progress towards selling Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW) today state that Milan will earn a hefty sum from Tonali’s sale to the Magpies and they would reinvest that money into signing new players. A section of that could go towards moving for Lukaku, who returns to Chelsea at the end of this month.

Inter have already expressed their willingness to sign him on another loan deal but Chelsea have rejected that notion, as they prefer selling the Belgian to Saudi Arabia on a permanent basis. While Lukaku has given his priority to Inter, the idea of moving to the Middle East is gaining ground.

But now Milan will try and they could soon make a €40 million offer to Chelsea. That sum isn’t something Inter can afford right now and everything will be in Lukaku’s hands.
