Milan set to sign Colombian goalkeeper Devis Vasquez

Milan are now set to seal the signing of Colombian goalkeeper Devis Vasquez, who plies his trade with Club Guaraní.

The Rossoneri have been linked with a move for Atalanta’s Marco Sportiello but they have struggled to thrash out a deal for the Bergamo-based goalkeeper. Edouard Mendy has also been linked with a move, but the interest in him has arisen due to the injury suffered by Mike Maignan.

Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that Colombian is set to join the Rossoneri, with the player arriving on a permanent transfer. His arrival is not linked to Maignan’s injury and he is expected to be the back-up goalkeeper for Stefano Pioli’s outfit. Vasquez will fill Milan’s non-EU spot.

Sky Italia claim that it is unknown whether Milan would still go after Sportiello or not, with Vasquez set to be available for selection soon for Pioli’s side, who could yet sign another goalkeeper.
