Milan studying January move for Aston Villa’s Clement Lenglet

Serie A side Milan are studying the possibility of landing French defender Clement Lenglet in the January transfer window.

The Rossoneri have a raft of injuries in the defensive department, which led to teenager Jan-Carlo Simic starting in the backline against Monza.

Daniele Longo has reported that Milan are studying a move for Lenglet, who is expected to return to Barcelona in January after what has been a disappointing loan stint for the Frenchman. Relations between Milan and Lenglet’s representative agency – Wassermann, are excellent and they could aid in a potential deal.

The likelihood is that Lenglet will seek another loan move in January and with Milan facing difficulties in a move for Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, contact with Wassermann has already taken place to talk about the percentage of salary that the Diavolo will have to pay for a loan deal.

The idea is to sign him till the end of the season and shore up their backline.
