Milan target Arnaut Danjuma edges close to Everton move

Villarreal star and Milan target Arnaut Danjuma is now edging close to a move to Premier League side Everton.

Yesterday, it was reported that Milan had held talks with Villarreal over a move for Danjuma and Samuel Chukwueze but La Gazzetta dello Sport state today that earlier in the day, Danjuma seemed close to joining Milan. He was keen on moving to Italy and had spoken to Stefano Pioli, but Everton are now about to trump Milan.

They made a higher financial offer for the Dutchman and Villarreal would prefer to see their player head to the Premier League because of the higher offer on the table for them. The expectation is that he would join the Toffees on the loan deal, as he has guarantees of starting regularly and proving himself in the English top flight – something he couldn’t quite do at Tottenham due to lack of gametime.

Before joining Spurs, Danjuma was close to joining Everton in January but Tottenham trumped the Premier League side, who were then in a relegation battle. But now, it seems as if they will get the winger.
