Milan’s Fikayo Tomori out for two months

Milan defender Fikayo Tomori is expected to be out of action for two months.

Milan’s injury crisis has worsened in recent days. In the 2-2 draw against Salernitana, the Rossoneri saw Tomori trudge off because of what seemed like a hamstring injury.

Sky Italia have now reported that Tomori is expected to be out for two months because of a hamstring issue. La Gazzetta dello Sport have added some detail, stating that the England international has picked up the same injury as Malick Thiaw, who is also out of action.

Ligament damage has taken place in Tomori’s case and while Milan were hoping for something positive, Tomori will be out until February and the Rossoneri seem to now have only Simon Kjaer as the senior centre-back fit. And it seems as if the Danish defender will partner young Jan-Carlo Simic in Milan’s next game against Sassuolo, as Stefano Pioli’s position as manager is under consideration.
