Milan’s Fikayo Tomori: “We have to do everything to win the Europa League”

Milan defender Fikayo Tomori spoke about his recent performances, his defensive partnerships and much more in an interview.

In an exclusive interview with Milan TV via Pianet Milan, Fiyako Tomori spoke about his development as a defender and recent performances. He said: “My two goals, against Frosinone and Cagliari, were easy to score. I also wanted to score in Newcastle, but I wanted to be too precise.  “I feel good on the pitch with the way I’m playing. I play at the centre of defense, I have to talk a lot and motivate the team: that’s what I’m doing.”

The Englishman moved on to talk about the defensive partnership with Theo Hernandez as he claimed: “Now Theo is next to me, we get along well on the pitch. With the relationship we have we don’t have to talk much, we know well what our qualities and characteristics are on the field”.

Milan’s 2-1 win over Newcastle United wasn’t enough for them to progress to the Champions League knockouts but they could qualify for the Europa League. It is a new objective now for the Rossoneri and Tomori feels that his side are up to the task of going all the way in the competition and winning it. He said: “Now we are in the Europa League and we have to give everything to win it. If we play every game like we did in the second half against Newcastle I’m sure we can do better in this competition.”
