Monza have carved out history, following their deserved and compact 2-0 win over Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
Monza’s win over the Bianconeri in the reverse fixture was the club’s first win of the campaign and this win in January comes at a time when Juve have just been handed a 15 points deduction in the Serie A. It also means that they have completed a double over the club for the first time in their history.
Having said that, it is also the first time that a newly promoted outfit has completed a double over the Bianconeri. Opta have also reported that this is the second time that a team which is facing the Bianconeri for the first time has beaten twice in the same campaign. Inter did that twice back in 1930.
