Monza make offer for Karsdorp but face Premier League competition

Roma are still trying to get rid of Rick Karsdorp and Monza could be the one’s taking the Dutchman of the Giallorossi’s hands.

Monza, who are 15th in Serie A, are looking to strengthen their defence in their quest to avoid relegation. The team from Italy’s capital of motorsport have made an offer for right-back Karsdorp, according to Sky Sport Italia. They want to loan the 27-year-old with an obligation to buy if they manage to stay in Italy’s top flight.

Karsdorp hasn’t been in Roma’s plans since coach José Mourinho (supposedly) called him a traitor following the Giallorossi’s 1-1 draw against Sassuolo. This broke the relationship between the Dutch defender and his coach, and there are no signs of a possible recovery of that.

Monza could offer Karsdorp a way out, but the Biancorossi face competition from two Premier League clubs. Both Bournemouth and Southampton are interested in Karsdorp’ services and they have made enquiries for the Dutchman.
