Napoli could fine Victor Osimhen for confrontational behaviour

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen could be fined by the club for displaying confrontational behaviour yesterday.

Osimhen missed a penalty for Napoli against Bologna yesterday and when he was being taken off by manager Rudi Garcia, the Nigerian seemed quite angry at the boss and was motioning for him to have two strikers on the pitch instead of one when the Partenopei needed a goal.

Garcia later stated that what he told the striker will stay inside the dressing room but Il Mattino (via TMW) have reported about the situation further.

They state that club captain Giovanni di Lorenzo spoke to Osimhen about the confrontation and the conversation was rather harsh and it took place inside the dressing room. Now, Napoli will decide whether to fine the player or not, as the club believe that his gesture was too blatant.

A meeting will take place involving Garcia and Osimhen later today at the club’s training ground.
