Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is keen on making sure that Victor Osimhen signs a new deal with the Partenopei, amidst increasing interest from Manchester United.
Il Mattino have reported today that Osimhen’s name is on the shortlist at United for a while now and even though the Red Devils are looking to make a huge offer to service the Nigerian’s services, Napoli will only want a fee of €150 million to part ways with the striker. If an offer of that amount is not made, De Laurentiis and Cristiano Guintoli will not be negotiating a sale.
On the other hand, De Laurentiis is also looking to keep Osimhen at the club beyond this season and Napoli don’t have an immediate need to sell the player anyway. While they welcome interest from United, Napoli have enough money and influence to keep Osimhen at the club beyond this season, with De Laurentiis also oscillating towards handing him a new deal.
The striker found the back of the net in the recent game against Torino and broke Samuel Eto’o’s record for the highest number of goals by an African player in a single Serie A season.
