Napoli’s Aurelio de Laurentiis: “Victor Osimhen is not for sale”

Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis has stated that Victor Osimhen is not for sale and the club’s financial situation is currently quite healthy.

The Partenopei are at the top of the table currently and Osimhen has been one of the players in Serie A this season. He recently grabbed a brace against Spezia, taking his tally for the league season to 16 goals so far. The Nigerian has been linked with a move away from the club, with reports suggestive of potential approaches from clubs in the summer transfer window.

De Laurentiis was recently speaking to BILD and he gave his views on Osimhen’s situation and his future. He said (via TMW): “Osimhen is not for sale. Our players are in demand, but I don’t have to sell anyone. We have no debts.”

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the ex-Lille man and Jorge Mendes had tried to bring the player to the Theatre of Dreams late last summer in a swap deal involving Cristiano Ronaldo. It was reported back then that Osimhen was keen on playing Champions League football and he wanted to stay at the Partenopei.

Reports late last night in England stated that United are looking to sign one of Osimhen and Harry Kane in the summer.
