Napoli’s Matteo Politano left fuming at manager Rudi Garcia after substitution

After Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen, it is now Matteo Politano who seems frustrated with being substituted by Napoli boss Rudi Garcia.

The problems seem to be mounting for Garcia, whose side slipped out of the top four yesterday after a painful defeat to Fiorentina. The La Viola, as a result, climbed into the top four and are now level on points with rivals Juventus.

But results aren’t the only thing going wrong with the Frenchman, who doesn’t seem to enjoy the same rapport with the players as Luciano Spalletti used to during his time at the club, especially when the Partenopei won the Scudetto last season.

Il Mattino state that when Politano was substituted, he expressed his annoyance at the move from Garcia. When leaving the pitch, he didn’t greet the player coming on for him – Jens Cajuste, and raised his arms as a sign of protest. The reaction did catch attention and clips were shared on social media.

When Napoli needed goals, Garcia had also substituted Osimhen when the scoreline was at 2-1 and that also caused annoyance amongst fans on social media.
