Napoli’s Victor Osimhen training alone ahead of Milan clash

There is good news for Napoli fans as star striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly recovering well from his injury and is set to return to the pitch soon.

According to a report from Calcio Napoli 1921, the Nigerian striker has been training alone at Castel Volturno at Naples this morning. Osimhen’s Instagram story further relayed the news that the 24-year-old striker is pushing hard to become fully fit for the Napoli-Milan clash in the Champions League quarter-finals first leg next week.

As it was an off-day for the Partenopei squad following their 2-1 win against Lecce, it seems that the player came by and trained alone to gear himself up for next week’s pivotal clash.

Osimhen suffered an injury to his left adductor at the end of last month and primary assessments recommended that he would need around 20 days to become 100 per cent match-fit. As things stand, it will be a race against time for the in-form forward to be available for the Champions League face-off with their league rivals.

Victor Osimhen is the current Serie A top scorer as he has scored 21 goals in the league, netting a goal every 91 minutes on average.
