Premier League side Newcastle United are interested in the possibility of signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The Serbian has been linked with a move to the Premier League multiple times but Il Messaggero (as cited by TMW) have stated that the Magpies are the latest side to be keen on the midfielder.
It stated that the Tyneside outfit are ready to make a move for the player and are looking to offer in the region of €60 million plus a €12 million signing bonus for the player and a salary that could reach €10 million a year. Lazio are denying the talk, with Claudio Lotito firmly of the opinion that Milinkovic-Savic is not for sale in January.
But having said that, anything is possible because Milinkovic-Savic’s contract runs out in the summer of 2024 and he is not looking to sign a new deal with the club. The interest from Newcastle could become a hot topic in the next few days, claims the report.
