Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo had recently accepted the idea of moving to Bournemouth, who rejected the transfer.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that last night, Zaniolo had accepted the idea of joining Bournemouth as his next club after Roma. But it proved too late, as Bournemouth directors had moved on to other targets and even though the Italian was ready to head to England in the morning, the Cherries had already sealed a move for Hamed Traore.
It was previously reported that Bournemouth saw Hamed Traore as a replacement for Zaniolo, who had initially rejected the club despite the fact that they had an offer by Roma accepted. Zaniolo only wanted to play for a top club and had been holding out for a move to Milan after Tottenham had failed to meet Roma’s asking price. Leeds United’s late attempts for the player also failed, even though the player was interested in a move.
