Nicolo Zaniolo remains out of Roma’s project despite UEFA list inclusion

Nicolo Zaniolo has been included in Roma’s UEFA list for the season but he remains out of the club’s technical project.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Zaniolo has been included in Roma’s UEFA Europa League list for the remainder of the campaign but it was merely a formality. He is considered to be out of the club’s technical project, regardless of the inclusion.

On the 31st of January, Zaniolo had sent Roma a medical report of his situation and it was a 30-day prognosis of the player. The Italian also underwent a medical test at Trigoria today and it showed that he needs a period of rest and in 30 days, Roma will test his situation again and then look at whether he needs a further stress break.

For now, he will rest for 30 days and Roma will keep evaluating his condition. He will remain on the UEFA list because excluding him could have brought about legal issues onto the club’s head.
