OFFICIAL | Eddie Salcedo joins Genoa on loan from Inter

Inter striker Eddie Salcedo has officially completed a move to Genoa on loan with the right to buy at the end of the season.

Serie B side Genoa did a shrewd bit of business on deadline day by announcing the signing of Inter fringe player Eddie Salcedo. The striker never looked to break into the first-team for the Nerazzurri and he was loaned several times to clubs like Verona, Spezia and Bari, thus facilitating his development.

Genoa broadcasted the official news through their Twitter channel about the transfer as the 21-year-old makes a return to his boyhood club. The Rossoblu will have the right to exercise the buy option at the end of the player’s loan period for an undisclosed amount.

Salcedo has featured 16 times for Serie B side Bari this season during which he scored 2 and assisted 1. The Genoa-born and bred striker will aim to continue his stride in the second division as he hopes to become a key player to aid in Genoa’s potential promotion to the Serie A next season.
