OFFICIAL | Luka Romero joins Milan

Argentinian youngster Luka Romero has officially joined AC Milan. The 18-year-old was a free agent after his contract at Lazio expired.

Romero, deemed the ‘next Messi’ in the past, joined Lazio in the summer of 2021 for a small fee from Mallorca. The Argentinian made 21 appearances for the Biancocelesti and scored 1 goal. That goal came against Monza in November, when he scored the winning goal at the Olimpico.

The talented teenager also featured at the U20 World Cup for Argentina a few weeks ago. Romero found the net twice in 4 games at the tournament. Romero has now joined Milan on a free transfer with a contract until June 2027.

The teenager has definitely shown flashes of talent at Lazio, but it wasn’t enough to convince Maurizio Sarri to start him more often. At Milan, Romero could get more opportunities, as the right wing of the Rossoneri is one of their weak spots. Romero will definetly be one to watch in the upcoming Serie A season.
