OFFICIAL | Tijjani Reijnders joins Milan on a permanent transfer

Milan have officially announced the signing of Tijjani Reijnders from Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar.

An official statement from the Rossoneri confirmed the arrival of Tijjani Reijnders who joins the club on a permanent deal. The player puts pen to paper on a five-year contract and is set to earn a figure of around €1.7 million net per season.

Milan will pay the agreed transfer fee of €20 million with bonuses to Alkmaar for the midfielder. The Serie A side were adamant in securing the services of the 24-year-old this summer and even after talks were stalled for a brief while, they soon reinvigorated before reaching a conclusion over the weekend.

The Dutchman played an influential role last season for the Eredivisie club as netted three goals and recorded seven assists in 34 league appearances.

With this signing, manager Stefano Pioli has shown a clear intent to the fans that he remains committed to building Milan back to its former glory. Reijnders joins Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero and Marco Sportiello as signings of the summer up until now for the club.
