Paolo Maldiniโs future at Milan is currently uncertain, as a meeting involving him and the clubโs higher-ups was held today.
Sky Italia state that the meeting involved Maldini and Milan owners and it was held at a hotel in the city. Gerry Cardinale was involved and three issues were discussed about โ Milanโs budget, responsibilities and the future prospects.ย
When talks were held about the last point though, there were some disagreements and frictions. There is a difference of opinion regarding the clubโs future, when it comes to Maldini and Cardinale and there is now a possibility of a potential exit in the future.
While his exit isnโt the most likely outcome of these tensions, it needs to be taken into consideration. But the fact that the club have not communicated anything publicly shows that there is time for a solution to be reached. Maldiniโs current deal runs out in the summer of 2024 and an exit then could be a possibility. Then, Cardinale would look for potential replacements.
