Paris Saint-Germain advancing in move for Roma’s Jose Mourinho

Paris Saint-Germain are now said to be advancing in their move for Roma manager Jose Mourinho, who is now close to leaving the Giallorossi.

La Repubblica have reported about the futures of both Mourinho and Luciano Spalletti, with the Italian now having rejected Napoli’s contract offer. As for Mourinho, La Repubblica state that there is now a chilling silence when it comes to the relationship between the Friedkins and the Portuguese. Meetings between the two parties haven’t taken place so far and that is a source of annoyance for the manager. It has been reported that some agents close to Jorge Mendes were at Trigoria recently but the Friedkins refused a meeting.

Roma now feels like a ‘prison’ for Mourinho and he has an offer in hand from Paris Saint-Germain, who are advancing in their move for the ex-Tottenham boss. Mourinho has denied the contacts in public but they have been going on for a year now. He believes that he is bound by financial issues at Roma, who are a hostage to FFP regulations and that is a big reason for him to bid farewell.

He is no stranger to leaving clubs after achieving big things and the same could now also happen at Roma. It will not be a surprise at all.
