French giants Paris Saint-Germain are expected to challenge Manchester United for the signature of Victor Osimhen in the summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport today state that at the end of the current season, Aurelio de Laurentiis will try to make sure that Osimhen renews his current deal with Napoli. His current deal expires in the summer of 2025 and he earns €4.3 million per season. In order to stand a chance of convincing him, Napoli would have to break €6 million per season barrier but potential suitors are expected to offer him a higher sum. Manchester United are leading the pack, with PSG also set to challenge the Red Devils in the chase.
Last summer, De Laurentiis had valued Osimhen at €100 million but his performances this season mean that his valuation has reached €150 million. There has previously been an enquiry by Arsenal and Newcastle United have had an approach rejected. There is a possibility that United can go all in for Osimhen, considering their next potential ownership.
PSG’s Luis Campos still has a great amount of liking for him since their time together at Lille and the French side have already dealt with the Partenopei for Fabian Ruiz. The price tag for Osimhen will be nowhere close to what PSG paid for Fabian Ruiz, but they are well in the chase for the Nigerian.
