Paris Saint-Germain yet to accept Milan’s loan offer for Sergio Rico

Paris Saint-Germain are yet to accept Milan’s loan approach for Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico.

Milan are already signed Devis Vasquez this month, but he is expected to be the club’s third-choice goalkeeper for the remainder of the season and beyond. But it has been suggested that Milan have lost trust in Cyprian Tatarusanu and that is why they need a second-choice goalkeeper this month. Rico is said to be the prime second-choice option.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported about the situation of Rico, stating that the move to Milan is not guaranteed yet for the Spaniard, who is not a regular at PSG by any means.

While Milan have made first contact with the Parisiens for Rico and the player has given his approval for a transfer, PSG are hesitant and they have not agreed for the move yet. They first want to understand if Keylor Navas can leave the club this month or not and if he does, Rico will become Gigio Donnarumma’s second-choice.

Once PSG figure out their goalkeeping ladder themselves, only then would they be able to go forward to letting Rico leave on loan.
