Paul Pogba fails testosterone B test

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has failed a testosterone B test in the ongoing doping saga involving the Frenchman.

The midfielder had tested positive for testosterone in August, after Juve’s game against Udinese. He was suspended by the club and FIGC temporarily while they awaited his counter analysis results.

The results have now been revealed as it was expected. The positive testosterone test has been confirmed, with the counter analysis failing to prove that he wasn’t positive.

Pogba is at risk of an imprisonment of two to four years and a ban from the game for a similar period. If Pogba can prove that the consumption wasn’t intentional, the ban will be reduced to two years.

Juve could now suspend his salary and will only be paying a minimum player wage, unless they decide to terminate his deal. But the club will now assess their next course of action out of all their options available.
