Paul Pogba’s agent on new injury: “It’s nothing serious”

Paul Pogba’s agent Rafaela Pimenta has revealed that the midfielder’s injury is not serious.

The Frenchman started for Juventus against Cremonese yesterday and it was his first start in 390 days for the club. But within 30 minutes of the game, Pogba picked up a thigh injury and was taken off, as he came off having broken down to tears.

It has been confirmed that he will be out for about 20 days now and his season could well be over, as he underwent a fitness test earlier today at J | Medical.

His agent Rafaela Pimenta spoke to reporters at the Tommaso Maestrelli awards ceremony and she was asked about the situation of the Frenchman.

Pimenta said: “These things happen. It happened yesterday but fortunately it’s nothing serious and Paul is recovering.”

Pogba had done well for the club in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final against Sevilla and he assisted Federico Gatti’s last-ditch equaliser and that drew praise from Max Allegri after the game as well.
