PREDICTED LINE-UPS | Atalanta v Roma

After getting pegged down to 4th place in the league standings due to Juventus’ reinstated points, Serie A action returns for Roma as they are set to face top four competitors Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium today evening.

Atalanta will aim to return back to winning ways after finding a recent dip in form. They are winless in their last two league matches, drawing against Fiorentina and losing against Bologna. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have fared inconsistently over this season and top-four hopes are fading for La Dea as the business end approaches. However, they can still land a Europa League spot finish but they have to step up their game and defeat some of their direct opponents in that pursuit like Juventus and Inter whom they face later this season.

Meanwhile, Roma will approach this match on the back of a comeback second-leg win versus Feyenoord in the Europa League quarter-finals which saw them cruise forward to face Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-finals. Since losing to neighbourhood rivals Lazio in mid-March, the Giallorossi have exhibited favourable performances and have strung up a winning run of three games in a row, defeating Sampdoria, Torino and Udinese. Currently tied on points with 5th-placed Milan, manager Jose Mourinho knows that his side cannot afford to slip up anymore in the final days of the season as they need to secure Champions League qualification for next season.

Here are the predicted line-ups according to Sky Italia:

Atalanta (3-4-1-2): Musso; Toloi, Djimsiti, Scalvini; Zappacosta, De Roon, Ederson, Maehle; Koopmeiners; Zapata, Hojlund

Roma (3-4-2-1): Patricio; Mancini, Llorente, Ibanez; Zalewskim Cristante, Matic, Spinazzola; Pellegrini, Dybala; Abraham
