PREDICTED LINE-UPS | Inter v Benfica

Coming from defeats in their previous matches, both Inter and Benfica will aim to recuperate their recent woes and look to secure a safe passage to the Champions League semi-finals when they lock horns with each other today evening at the San Siro in the second leg of the two-legged quarter-final.

Inter have endured a significant setback in their league stride as they have only managed to record three victories in their last 10 Serie A matches. Although they hold a considerable lead from the first leg against today’s opponents, Inter’s recent form suggests that a collapse cannot be ruled out.

Midfielder Nicolo Barella and striker Romelu Lukaku were on the scoresheet in the first leg and the home advantage will be huge today for the Nerazzurri to hold onto their composure and see this one out.

Meanwhile, Benfica approach this match on the back of a frustrating defeat to Chaves in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. Issah Abass’ added time goal stood the difference as the Eagles lost ground in cementing their position at the top of the table.

The defeat rendered them just 4 points from Porto, an in-form side that seems to be catching up with the league leaders. The Portuguese side haven’t found success against Inter in each of their previous four meetings while the Italian outfits kept a clean sheet in three of them.

Here are the predicted line-ups according to Sky Italia:

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Lautaro Martinez, Dzeko

Benfica (4-2-3-1): Vlachodimos; Gilberto, António Silva, Otamendi, Grimaldo; Florentino, Aursnes; Joao Mario, Rafa Silva, Neres; Goncalo Ramos
