PREDICTED LINE-UPS | Juventus v Sampdoria

Juventus take on Sampdoria later today in an attempt cut the gap between themselves and the top six to just four points in Serie A.

The Bianconeri did lose to Roma in their previous game, thanks to a Gianluca Mancini goal, but Atalanta’s loss to Napoli and their poor recent form has kept Juve in contention too enter the top six not too long later. Considering how Juve have lost only twice in Serie A since their points deduction, there is a certain possibility of a top six finish.

Sampdoria meanwhile are in trouble on and off the pitch. Rock bottom in the league, Samp are 12 points behind 17th placed Verona. They have picked up points against Salernitana and Inter recently but they are struggling for goals and that is likely to cost them in the season.

As per Sky Italia, Max Allegri is likely to start young midfielder Enzo Barrenechea in midfield. With both Federico Chiesa and Angel di Maria out, Fabio Miretti could play in the advanced midfield role, behind Dusan Vlahovic. Paul Pogba has been ruled out of action for the game because of a muscle injury.

Juventus predicted line-up: Perin; Bremer, Bonucci, Danilo; De Sciglio, Fagioli, Barrenechea, Rabiot, Kostic; Miretti; Vlakhovic

Sampdoria predicted line-up: Ravaglia; Gunter, Nuytinck, Amione; Leris, Cuisance, Winks, Augello; Djuricic; Gabbiadini, Jese Rodriguez.
