PREDICTED LINE-UPS | Milan v Atalanta

Milan will look to keep their recent period of resurgence going, as they take on Atalanta at the San Siro later today.

The Rossoneri were going through a slightly tricky spell in 2023 but they have picked up three consecutive wins in all competitions in recent weeks. They beat Torino, Monza and Tottenham in the Champions League and are back in the Champions League spots in Serie A.

While Stefano Pioli had to switch to a 3-5-2 shape to bring about this change, the opposite is true for Gian Piero Gasperini’s La Dea. Someone who believes in his system, Gasperini’s side are sixth in Serie A and while they did beat Lazio, they fell to an unexpected 2-1 loss to Lecce recently. It was a rather stark example of their inconsistencies.

The bad news for La Dea is that Mike Maignan is back for the Rossoneri and Sky Italia expect the Frenchman to start. The dynamic duo of Ademola Lookman and Rasmus Højlund is expected to start for Atalanta.

Milan predicted line-up: Maignan; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori; Messias, Tonali, Krunic, Hernandez; Diaz, Giroud, Leao

Atalanta predicted line-up: Musso; Toloi, Djimsiti, Scalvini; Zappacosta, De Roon, Koopmeiners, Maehle; Lookman, Hojlund, Boga
